1. I leave the water in the sink after washing dishes and when I sweep the floor I make a pile in the corner where it stays for quite a while. 2. I can only sleep with my pillow. I take on every holiday and on any overnight destinations. 3.I love to mow the lawn, […]

( Sketchpad )

I am taking Danny Gregory’s advice and finding a quick ten minutes to do a drawing every day. I love his style of drawing because imperfection can be celebrated. Last night before I went to sleep. Today at the hairdressers (even brushes make interesting drawings). Today I am going out to buy a journal so […]

Grandpa’s gardening tips

( Sketchpad )

Just a fun little sketch I’m working on. It fits pretty well for sprout. Note in reference to step 4 the only watering I can do now is on Sunday and Wednesday evenings as level 3 water restrictions have hit Melbourne. We need rain and lots of it! Hand drawn and coloured in illustrator. Have […]

Scratch-lite

( Sketchpad )

More holiday swimming fun. Is anyone looking for a great art activity for children? Try scratch-lite. Draw up your design on a piece of paper. Make sure you provide the children with visual ideas for their drawing as this will help greatly with the results of their work. Place your picture onto the scratch-lite paper […]

Pool fun

( Sketchpad )

Buzz/humm

( Sketchpad )

Speed cleaning

( Sketchpad )

My speed cleaning kit. My sister gave me the book Speed Cleaning by Shannon Lush and Jennifer Fleming for Christmas. According to this book I’m supposed to spend 15 minutes a day cleaning one room. Well worth a read if you struggle with house work as I do. We’ll see how successful it will be.

..holiday pictures continued

( Sketchpad )

I used these little exercises to pratice drawing straight with the pen, no pencils, no erasers and am quite pleased with the results. I am looking forward to my copy of Creative License arriving in the mail as I am hoping to use this to improve my creativity and drawing skills.

Perth, the perfect holiday destination.

( Sketchpad )

After spending 6 days in Perth I thoroughly recommend it as a holiday destination. Infact it would be a fantastic place to live. What I noticed most were the beautiful blue skies and the relaxed pace and how much walking everyone did. While there I took my little set of watercolor paints and did some […]
