It cold here now and these ladies are knitting blankets for relief agencies. Good on them. Here’s the line drawing before colour.
I’ve elected for no background as the picture is busy enough. Here’s my rough drawing that I worked from, it sure changed direction.
I had in mind colour, line and composition when I did this illustration. I guess it’s set on the outskirt of the jungle.
Little girls, big birds ( perhaps a little too big )? Here’s another composition. This time the birds are the right size. I’m not very good at feet so I’ve left them out. I will have to work on them.
This week I listened to the story of Peter and the Wolf with a group of my students. I was inspired to draw these little characters. Maybe I will use these to do some story-telling of my own. I haven’t drawn the hunters yet, but no time now. My washing and housework eagerly awaits!
