Chloe’s first picture book

( Sketchpad )

As expected my illustration has changed a little from the sketch ( see previous post). I decided to add a side profile and had to look around at some picture books to see the best way of doing this. It holidays here again. Anyway lots of drawing and making going on. See Chloe’s first picture […]

sketch

( Sketchpad )

I don’t often put my sketches up here, but I quite like this one. It is an illustration I’m working on for a Kinder Expo. Come back and see the finished picture soon. Have a nice day.

Garden

( Sketchpad )

Hi there, another week has flown and this one is just in time for illustration friday! The girls are enjoying tending their vegetable garden. Mind you they would be watering it with rain or tank water due to strict water restrictions.

( Sketchpad )

Another project finished today. I made the heading the feature and am quite pleased with how it turned out.

The Musician

( Sketchpad )

The completed Banner

( Sketchpad )

These little children are to make their way onto a banner (2 x1m). Plenty of layers in this picture!

African Plain

( Sketchpad )

This is a little worksheet I can use as a cut and paste labeling activity with my young ESL (English as a second Language) students.

a little music

( Sketchpad )

I’m having fun experimenting with making my own fonts, infact there’s nearly as much work in the writing as in the picture (except the letters will be able to be reused). Maybe I can use this design for a birthday card sometime?

The heat is on!

( Sketchpad )

It wouldn’t be January without a swimming picture. The heat is back here in Melbourne, Australia with temperatures reaching into the forty’s already. So its off to the pools to cool off.
