I don’t know why but all week I’ve been thinking the word was danger ( I must be brain dead#!). So feel free to just ignore this picture or interpret it as the title suggests.

Anyway I have experimented by scanning into Illustrator upholstery samples. The illustration required patience as each layer is made from a separate clipping mask. A question for the experts out there. Can I make swatches out of these samples and avoid the whole clipping mask thing??
WOW!! Love the design!!
Great illo…love the style!
I really like this style, so much texture! I think you can create a repeat in Photoshop, with a plug-in. It would be easier in a raster program, a vector program like Illustrator would be really time consuming to create a pattern fill of a woven, but it’s worth a try if you’re creating a library! Good Luck! : )
I love the textures ! great !!
Wonderful image, the textures work really well.
How smart! It’s really something else but your style is really in it.
I am not experienced enough with Illustrator, but you can find a lot of tutorials if you Google your question I guess…perhaps that will help also.
You portraied both in one, safety and danger! Beautiful! 🙂
Neat style! The red fox is fantastic looking. Great illo
brilliant technique! love your characters!
Fun idea and love the fabric applique effect!
Well thanks for the kind words, as I said it was an experiment, maybe I’ll have a few more attempts at the same style.
I’ve really enjoyed visiting your site and looking at your illustrations. I love your style–your lines are so clean and everything is good to look at. There’s something really special about it–simple and elegant and rich. The upholstery fabric is really cool! I know Painter accomodates texture samples but I don’t know much about Illustrator except that I should know more about it!
