We’ve been doing some farm drawing. Chloe who has drawn the first one was so free with her picture that even Humpty Dumpty and some fish were included. (I was admiring the pattern she put on the owl when she answered “Mum that’s a chicken”.) Jessie has drawn the second picture and has very cleverly included a duck looking at it’s own reflection – amazing. In the middle of her picture is a Bratz horse, she had seen one of those before. I really like the way young children can so easily tell a story with their art. I need to take some lessons from them to make up some little scenes with my farm characters. While on the subject of animals and being free with your style check out the beautiful work of Amy Schimler.

I am having a break from blogging for the month of May as its busy at work and home at the moment. I hoping to come back with some new ideas and pictures.

Have a nice May! I love the pig on your child’s illo.
But also the easy way you’ve made the horse and cow.
Hope you have a lot of inspiration and relaxing time!

They’re all very cute. Children are so free with their drawings, it’s facinating.
