Shoes

I have this pair of very comfortable shoes in green and no clothes to match so I have bought stripper to take the colour out of the leather. I will then attempt to re-paint them a new colour. The big question is navy or brown?

Like this person I think it would be helpful to have a robot do all those jobs that never end.

Monsters

Posted on Sunday 26 March 2006

I have often admired the way other people combine their artwork with a photo. So I thought I’d give it a go. This photo is of a wombat hole. These little monsters have taken it over.

Polar feet

Posted on Sunday 19 March 2006

It’s been a while since I’ve drawn my polar bear but he has appeared again in this illustration. I am pleased with this picture mainly because I had an image in my mind and was able to produce it, perhaps my practice is paying off. I could’ve experimented more with the colours but kept to the cool colours to match the environment. Plenty of feet in view to fit the theme for Illustration Friday.

Talking of amazing feet. Here’s a snap of the women’s Commonwealth Games Marathon. Competitor 1108 is Australian Kerryn McCann who went on to win the event. I bet she has sore feet after running 42 km.

The opening Ceremony

Posted on Thursday 16 March 2006

boywithduck4.jpgIt was great to see that the cartoonist Michael Leunig’s work featured in the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth games. His poem A little duck inspired the theme for the night.
